Accountant R30,- R42,CTC Dependent

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced and technically sound Accountant in Longmeadow, Modderfontein.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Effectively execute the creditors function by performing all associated tasks.
• Effectively execute all functions associated with the debtors function.
• Processing of financial transactions
  • Update assets register in conjunction with new or disposal asset register.
  • Perform accurate forecasting.
  • Daily updates of Cash Book.
  • Preparation and processing of provisions, depreciation, salaries, etc.
  • Adjustments to supplier and/or customer accounts.
  • Correct incorrect allocations.
  • Create journals.
• General Ledger reconciliations
  • Reconcile General Ledger.
  • Balance accounts.
  • Prepare VAT reconciliations and process e-filing.
• Credit Card Reconciliations and payments.
• Fleet Card reconciliations and payments.
• Analysis of Income statements and Balance Sheet Statements.
• Payment of non-stock goods.
• Management of petty cash.
• Evaluating and reporting on stock.
• Preparation of management accounts.
• Preparation of annual budgets.
• Perform general administrative duties within the finance department.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned to enable the Company to fully utilize its manpower resources.

• Recognised Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Minimum 5 years related experience.
• Working knowledge of Syspro.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• SAIPA membership advantageous.
