Job OverviewThe Financial Advisor (FA) role is a three‑year program with a forgivable draw, focused on providing financial planning guidance and selling investment management solutions for TD Wealth clients. The FA serves as the central point of contact, building relationships, and driving greater share of wallet by helping clients achieve goals related to asset accumulation, preservation, growth, and protection.
Responsibilities- Review client financial goals and provide investment recommendations aligned to client objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for TD Wealth client relationships, managing all aspects of the relationship with TD Bank and referring to Retail and Wealth partners & affiliates as needed.
- Ensure all new clients receive a complete onboarding experience, including client discovery, financial needs analysis, introduction to client servicing, and completion of all required documents.
- Plan and execute annual client reviews (ACR) with enhanced agendas focused on overall wealth needs and proactive contact.
- Partner and promote lead generation and referral opportunities to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners.
- Meet quarterly and annual sales goals while pursuing wallet share growth.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, SRO regulations and firm policies (e.g., OCC, SEC, state insurance commissions).
- Implement AML and CIP procedures, collecting and verifying required customer identification information.
- Uncover client transitions to higher threshold or HNW Wealth partners as needed.
- Provide coaching, referral training, and ongoing feedback to Retail and Small Business staff, and mentor new FAs.
- Represent TD Wealth professionally in the community, supporting TDBG charity and community initiatives.
- Travel within assigned market as required to meet prospects, clients, and partners, and commute within the assigned territory.
- Maintain all Continuing Education requirements and stay current with regulatory changes.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience providing financial advice, planning, and investment sales.
- Required licenses: SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and either L&H and Series 66 (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain all within the Licensing and Registration Schedule.
- Self‑directed with a strong ability to plan own activities to achieve sales and referral goals.
- Advanced understanding of wealth products and services.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Proficient in consultative sales techniques, client relationship building, and partnering with other departments.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals and establish successful client relationships.
- Supports the Bank’s Customer Service Strategy and considers impacts on customers and stakeholders.
- Delivers the highest level of customer service to internal partners, vendors, and customers, aiming to WOW at every opportunity.
- Models quality service delivery in every interaction.
- Leads and contributes to ongoing improvement of partner and customer experience.
- Participates fully as a team member in fostering a positive, inclusive culture.
- Provides leadership, training, and guidance to other team members when appropriate.

- The position is with a FINRA member, broker, and/or dealer and is subject to FINRA and Securities Laws.
- Applicants must be eligible for FINRA employment and undergo standard background, credit, and regulatory checks.
