Schedule:

Part-time 11pm-7am, Thursdays, Fridays, and every other weekend

Summary

Longmeadow is seeking a caring and compassionate RN or LPN. The Retirement Community Nurse plays a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and overall well-being of residents. This role is ideal for a dedicated and empathetic nursing professional committed to enhancing the quality of life for older adults in a vibrant senior living community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor residents' health status regularly.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding health management and wellness.
  • Respond to calls in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Document all nursing care and resident interactions accurately in compliance with regulatory standards.
Education and Experience
  • Active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
  • Previous experience in a nursing role, preferably in a long-term care, geriatric, or retirement community setting.
Knowledge

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong clinical assessment skills to identify health concerns and monitor changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Effective communication skills to educate residents and families and collaborate with healthcare team members.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and ensure timely care delivery.
  • Compassion and empathy to provide emotional support and enhance residents’ overall well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
