Accounting Specialist
Job DescriptionThis role involves handling multi-state payroll processing, supporting billing and month‑end reconciliations, managing accounts payable data entry, and communicating with vendors regarding payments and tax documentation. The position also includes responsibilities in expense reporting, purchasing, and receiving vendor invoices, delivery status, and related inquiries.
Responsibilities- Process payroll for approximately 150 employees on a bi‑weekly basis, including weekly timesheet processing for contractors.
- Manage accounts payable data entry and support billing and month‑end reconciliations.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoices, delivery status, payments, and tax documentation.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department on invoice processing.
- Coordinate expense reporting.
- Coordinate customer visits, travel, and meetings as needed.
- Proficient in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and expense reporting.
- Experience with invoicing, reconciliation, and using Excel.
- Familiarity with GAAP, Paylocity, UKG, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or Business strongly preferred.
- Organized, efficient, and adept at coordinating activities.
- Desire for personal growth and achieving long‑term company objectives.
The work environment is onsite at a secure location, with some flexibility for personal appointments. The role reports to the Accounting Director and Accounting Manager and is part of a small, highly collaborative team with an open‑door policy. The company culture is strong, growing quickly, and values face‑to‑face interaction.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longmont, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
