Our accounting team is growing and looking to add a senior technical accountant to the team.
The ideal candidate is a public accounting senior looking for a transition into industry. This is a hands-on role with great exposure to leadership. This role will work closely with our external auditors and will work cross functionally in maturing our processes in several areas of the business.
- Assist with the timely preparation and review of SEC compliant financial information
- Prepare monthly journal entries for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Draft technical analyses over inventory costing including work centers and overhead allocations
- Assist in evaluating accounting and financial reporting considerations for accounting topics including revenue, intangible assets, equity transactions, stock-based compensation, and business combinations
- Collaborate with key business partners across the company including Legal, Finance, and Engineering, to understand accounting implications of new agreements or transactions
- Develop and maintain process documentation and an internal controls matrix
- Other ad hoc analyses and long-term projects as requested
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Technical familiarity with revenue recognition, cost accounting, and stock-based compensation
- Comfortability in researching technical accounting matters and preparing technical accounting memorandums and presentations
- Experience with reviewing contracts and evaluating accounting implications
- Advanced excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookups, and data analysis
- Self-starter able to drive projects towards completion amidst tight deadlines and turnarounds
- Detail oriented, strong documentation and organization skills
- Have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- CPA preferred
- MACC or MBA preferred
- Manufacturing and/or Aerospace & Defense industry experience
- EGC/Public Company experience
- IPO experience

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $100,000 - $114,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
