Job Description: Our client is seeking an Equine Surgeon to join a well-established referral-focused practice providing advanced surgical care to a diverse equine population. This role is centered on elective procedures and collaborative case management, offering the opportunity to focus on high-level surgery within a professionally supported and well-resourced environment.
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
- Completion of an AVMA-approved equine surgery residency
- Board-certified or residency-trained in equine surgery
- Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the state of Colorado
- Strong clinical judgment with a commitment to surgical excellence
- Performing elective equine surgical procedures
- Supporting advanced diagnostic workups and lameness evaluations
- Collaborating with referring veterinarians and internal clinical teams
- Providing guidance and mentorship to veterinary colleagues and interns
- Maintaining detailed medical records and clear client communication
- Elective surgical caseload with no after-hours emergency surgery
- Access to advanced diagnostic imaging and a fully equipped surgical suite
