STEM ACCELERATOR PROJECT LAUNCH
Through STEM Accelerator Project Launch, middle school students will strengthen their math skills and understandings during this 16-day summer experience, allowing them to maintain grade level proficiencies and build readiness for the next grade. STEM Accelerator Project Launch includes:
- Tutoring support for students in reinforcing key math concepts from the school year
- Digital instruction for individualized support and growth in math
- Project-based learning opportunities that apply math concepts through design thinking and STEM career-connected contexts
- A 15:1 student-to-teacher ratio
- Accelerated 6th Grade Math opportunity
- June 1-25 (Monday-Thursday each week)
- 7 hour teacher work days
- Planning & preparation days May 26-29
- 20 days total (16 students days + 4 staff planning days)
