Description

Do you love fun? What about games? How about science projects and artsy crafty stuff?

We are hiring now at all levels for our school aged programs. The YMCA's Youth Programs are growing fast, and we are seeking outstanding Program Leaders to support our expanding school-age offerings and grow into leadership roles at the YMCA of Northern Colorado. We are looking for candidates who love to get creative with construction paper and duct tape, who are happy to help kids with even the most challenging homework and who are always ready for a game of tag.

We are looking for staff to ensure our kiddos are safe, secure and engaged while teaching them our core values: respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. Help us make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve each day in our programs.

Shifts/

Hours:

Program hours are mornings 6:45am-8am (9am on Wednesdays) and/or 2:30-6:00pm M-F and more hours available on days when school is out for full day camp. We prefer staff to be available at least 3 consistent days per week, but we are also looking for substitutes. You can choose to do just before school, just after school, or a combination.

This position is part time, year-round with opportunities for full time for summer season. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff (Spanish and English).

  • Age 18 years or older.
  • Provide documentation of 480 hours of experience working directly with school-age children in such areas as Sunday school, Scouts, sports, or babysitting.
  • Become certified or supply documentation of current certification in CPR and First Aid (can be complete through the YMCA).
  • Work well on a team, communicate well with youth, parents and colleagues, and be committed to high quality programming.
