Job Summary:The Engineering Operations Coordinator supports engineering and manufacturing execution by coordinating operational workflows, managing ERP transactions, tracking change actions, and facilitating sample and supplier activities. This role focuses on moving engineering work through systems and organizations, ensuring timely setup, follow‑through, and closure of operational tasks.
Engineering Operations & ERP Coordination- Set up and maintain ERP records for new tooling jobs, parts, fixtures, and sample jobs.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of operational data to support engineering and manufacturing execution.
- Support project intake by creating new project charters and initiating required operational workflows.
- Coordinate shipment of sample parts to customers, outside vendors, and suppliers.
- Receive, stock, track, and distribute sample parts from external suppliers.
- Facilitate activity with outside tool shops, vendors, and suppliers to support engineering timelines.
- Distribute sampling and evaluation reports received from outside suppliers to appropriate stakeholders.
- Monitor progress of open engineering change notices (ECNs), change actions, and supplier qualification evaluation reports.
- Follow up with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure timely completion and closure.
- Maintain visibility of open items and elevate risks or delays as needed.
- Facilitate processing and distribution of engineering data such as drawings, CAD files, and operational documentation.
- Ensure engineering information is routed to the correct stakeholders, systems, and suppliers.
- Support engineering teams by maintaining organized, accessible operational records (non‑controlled documents).
- Assist with receipt, stocking, and distribution of operational materials related to engineering activities.
- Perform other operational coordination tasks as required to support engineering execution and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications & Requirements:Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and hands‑on manufacturing or engineering operations experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment required; plastics or injection‑molding experience preferred.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and cross‑functional communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to track actions and follow through to completion.
- Well organized, self‑directed, and disciplined.
- Comfortable working within ERP systems and operational tracking tools.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for handling small tools, machine components, and molds.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
