Position Title: Test Engineer 3
Assignment Type: 1-year contract, temp-to-perm (opportunity to extend or convert to permanent based on business needs)
Pay Rate: $48.47–$55.81 per hour
Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Work Authorization/Access: Account with email access required
Position OverviewThe Test Engineer 3 is responsible for directing and coordinating engineering activities related to the development, procurement, installation, testing, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices. This role plays a critical part in ensuring systems and components meet operational, functional, and performance requirements through structured testing and detailed data analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate engineering activities associated with test planning and execution
- Determine test conditions, methodologies, and phases of test operations
- Coordinate and oversee operational, functional, and performance testing phases
- Analyze, evaluate, and interpret test data to assess performance and compliance
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for use by engineering and technical teams
- Support development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and technical stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system performance
- Ensure testing activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and timelines
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in test engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- Proven experience coordinating and executing complex test operations
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret technical test data
- Experience preparing clear, detailed technical reports for engineering audiences
- Solid understanding of instrumentation, equipment testing, and calibration processes
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an engineering team
- Proficiency with standard engineering tools, systems, and documentation practices
- This is a full-time, weekday, day-shift role
