Principal Engineer – SSD PDT LEAD

Responsibilities

• drive SSD products from design through high-volume manufacturing, focusing on customer success and technical leadership
• lead customer core team meetings and translate customer expectations into product requirements
• manage qualification testing, debug failures, and provide technical direction to the cross-functional engineering team
• conduct technical discussions, design reviews, and RCA/FA reporting; guide engineering, business, and customer-facing teams across validation, qualification, and design
• coordinate requirement changes, manage timelines and budgets, monitor project risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• feed lessons learned into future product cycles and ensure test coverage and quality assurance across the lifecycle

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation
• Experience in SSD product design: NAND flash, DRAM, SSD ASIC, firmware flows, media management, and SSD security
• System-level debug and integration expertise
• Proficiency in PCIe/NVMe protocols and OCP specifications
• Use of debug tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers
• Datacenter system applications and design experience
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and structured problem-solving methodologies
