Role Overview
The Sr. Systems Design Engineer, SSD Validation will develop and maintain test automation infrastructure for validating Enterprise Storage System interoperability. This role is based in Longmont, CO.
Responsibilities- Research and procure cutting‑edge storage hardware platforms.
- Characterize system behaviors to determine possible stimuli.
- Design and implement cross‑platform storage APIs to control system behavior.
- Design and document test cases to validate SSD features, gross functions, and use cases.
- Implement test case script logic via common automation framework.
- Regress test designs for continuous improvement using a representative cross‑section of systems.
- Proficiency in Python with a focus on object‑oriented programming and abstract interfaces.
- Working knowledge of AI agents such as Tab Nine or Claude Code.
- Ability to debug and perform code‑generation workflows.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex patterns through UML documentation.
- Knowledge of enterprise storage products and storage protocols.
- Experience developing robust cross‑platform infrastructure for Windows, Linux, BSD, x86, and ARM.
- Understanding of test automation methodologies, operating system APIs, process controls, memory management, and device‑driver interactions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science.
- Intense curiosity about complex computing systems.
- Track record in building and managing test automation frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to implement test strategies in a competitive and ambitious environment.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $98,000.00 – $ per year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity, and the range displayed reflects minimum and maximum target base pay for new hires across US locations.
