Job Description
Lead IS Engineer, Plant Systems – internally titled Lead Analyst, Plant Systems. This role serves as a project manager and site owner for defined IT and OT system implementation, training, support, and maintenance at the Longmont Uncrustables Site. Critical 24/7/365 IT and OT systems include HP Servers running Microsoft Server in a VMware environment hosting Proficy MES and Factory Talk View SE application software.
The Lead IS Engineer translates requirements from an operational business perspective into actionable plans for Process Engineers, Controls Engineers, Quality, and Corporate Information Services. This person champions solutions that meet functional design, operational needs, and project timelines.

Work Arrangements100% on site, Monday through Friday. Willingness to accommodate nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call troubleshooting for 24/7/365 support.
Responsibilities- Lead all IT operations at the Longmont, Colorado Uncrustables Site
- Work with the Controls and Automation Manager to develop control and information system standards and ensure application of the standards
- Collaborate with Tech Services, Quality, Logistics, SQMS, and Operations to identify losses and develop plans to eliminate them in safety, quality, reliability, and cost areas
- Act as technical subject matter expert on multiple pieces of equipment and IT systems, and train others on control and operational systems
- Serve as project manager for initiatives ranging from E&I focused projects, IS focused projects, or complete capital projects
- Own and provide leadership for the plant’s MES system, database, and application standards
- Support Process Engineers with developing and validating applications and system usage
- Own the Longmont network infrastructure and IP address allocation system
- Lead development of network topology and switch configuration standards and roll them out to the plant
- Own the health of the Longmont network and liaise with Corporate IT Infrastructure Team for support and maintenance
- Train and develop plant resources on network technologies
- Own the Longmont server and VMware infrastructure
- Liaise with Corporate IT teams to develop hardware standards, migration plans, and system improvements
- Conduct server and VMware performance monitoring with Corporate IT to resolve abnormalities
- Own the Longmont business and controls software systems
- Coordinate with Corporate IT for regular business software updates, security monitoring, system backups, and Windows updates and patches
- Liaise with Plant Controls Engineers to lead Factory Talk software migration plans and updates
- Lead plant IT security policy development, documentation, renewal, and enforcement
- Manage the IT Support Analyst role
- Own day-to-day operation of wireless network, camera system, security badge system, lighting server, phone system, IDF/MDFs, and IS support requests
- Maintain and update plant network drawings and electrical drawings
- Provide expertise in design and implementation of machine control and process automation applications such as control strategies and HMI design
- Lead electrical, controls, and IS contractors on plant projects
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred - Minimum five years of relevant experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanical and electrical experience in food manufacturing preferred
- Experience in a project management role preferred
- Network architecture and configuration experience preferred
- IS troubleshooting skills in network, hardware, software, cameras, security, phone, etc. preferred
- Ability to coach and train others
- Effective engagement, leadership, and capability building on the floor
- Experience with plant systems software (Proficy, eAM, etc.)
- Self-motivated and able to motivate others
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Compensation Range: $102,500 - $148,500. Eligible for Annual Incentive Plan and Holiday bonus.
