ASIC Engineer

• Define requirements for ASIC design, verification, and physical implementation teams.
• Evaluate area, performance, power, and ease-of-implementation trade-offs between different implementation solutions.
• Review product and firmware requirements.
• Work with other ASIC architects and system architects to define and document the feature sets and data/control flows implemented by the controller and each of its component IPs.
• Review and configure 3rd party IPs.
• Support other teams in the ASIC organization and review their work.
• Support product teams with documentation, code reviews, and silicon debug.
• Continuously identify opportunities for improving design quality and design practices.
• Analyze performance of controller components and subsystems.
• Review functionality of implemented logic circuits.
• Suggest improvements and enhancements to the controller architecture.

• Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Perl, Python, C, or Unix shell scripts.
• Experience with HDL languages:
  Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
• Strong background in RTL design and verification.
• Knowledge of physical design aspects including layout, timing analysis, and power optimization.
