Technical authority and lead for customer validation responsible for end-to-end customer validation approach, execution oversight, and multi-functional alignment across major customers, platforms, and product lines. Operates with broad autonomy and drives high-impact decisions that influence customer confidence, qualification success, and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:• Serve as the Customer Validation Lead (CVL) for strategic customers, hyperscalers, or OEMs.
• Define and own customer validation strategy, test depth, acceptance criteria, and risk mitigation.
• Lead qualification planning, execution readiness reviews, and customer closure decisions.
• Drive alignment between customer requirements and internal validation, firmware, and system teams.
• Provide technical leadership for complex, multi-domain validation and debug challenges.
Minimum Qualifications:• 8+ years of experience in customer, system, or product validation engineering.
• Demonstrated ownership of customer-facing validation programs with significant technical impact.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple engineering domains.
• Deep expertise in enterprise SSD systems, storage behavior, and system-level interactions.
• Strong analytical judgment and ability to assess and manage technical risk under ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience influencing validation strategy and driving quality improvements at scale.
• Comfort serving as final technical authority for validation scope and outcomes.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi-functional teams including firmware, hardware, and systems engineering.
• Strong customer-facing interpersonal skills for technical briefings and resolving critical issues.
• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
