Vitesse Systems is looking for a Mechanical Engineer I to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing components and assemblies with a keen eye for structural integrity. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with RF Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver innovative and manufacturable products for our internal and external customers.

The role:

The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Engineer is to design and analyze component and assemblies, while ensuring structural integrity.

Key responsibilities:

• People
  • Communicate technical information internally with various departments
• Processes
  • Design hardware based on customer specifications using Solid Works
  • Perform static and dynamic analyses (modal, static, vibration) on designed hardware based on customer specifications using NEi Nastran and Femap
  • Create and maintain proper documentation associated with the design and analysis of the hardware
  • Support production and test of the hardware
  • Review and approve drawings using GD&T
  • Adhere to government regulations, industry standards, and internal guidelines to produce quality hardware in a quality setting

Qualifications &

Experience:

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Solid Works or similar CAD experience desired.
• EPDM experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of ERP systems is desired.
