Engineer, Network Engineer

Our client, an innovative technology organization, is seeking an Engineer I to join their team. In this role, you will provide operational and technical network support across labs, offices, and data center environments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid networking foundation, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset that aligns well within a fast-paced technical environment.

Job Title: Engineer I

Location: Longmont, CO (80503)

Pay Rate (PR): $45/hour

• Provide daily operational and technical support for network services, including ticket resolution and end-user inquiries.
• Maintain and update network schematics, low-level design diagrams, and infrastructure documentation.
• Oversee and track inventory of network hardware and devices.
• Monitor network health, performance, availability, and overall system reliability.
• Install, configure, and support network equipment such as wireless access points, switches, routers, and phones across labs, offices, and data centers.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking equipment.
• Working knowledge of switching and routing protocols including VLAN, VXLAN, STP, VPC, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Familiarity with LAN, WAN, WiFi, structured cabling, and network infrastructure components such as firewalls, controllers, load balancers, and Infoblox.
• Understanding of network monitoring tools, automation concepts, and packet-level protocol analysis.
• Background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
