Purchasing Specialist – $26-$30/hour (DOE)
Seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support a manufacturing environment by ensuring timely procurement of materials, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role is critical to keeping production on schedule while optimizing cost, quality, and cash flow.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure on-time ordering and delivery of materials to meet production schedules
- Partner with production, engineering, and logistics teams to forecast demand
- Communicate with suppliers on lead times, availability, and delivery timelines
- Develop and monitor supplier quality standards in collaboration with Quality
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, including pricing negotiations
- Manage inventory levels in ERP systems to avoid shortages and excess stock
- Maintain accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Support continuous improvement in procurement and supply chain processes
- 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience managing supplier performance and on-time delivery
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar)
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience collaborating directly with engineering teams
- Strong analytical skills for inventory planning and forecasting
- Cross-functional exposure across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longmont, CO.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
