The primary responsibility of the Machinist III is to program and manufacture our high precision antenna feeds.
Key Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines according to internal policies and technical documentation using Master Cam.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required.
- Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.
- Program and manufacture antenna feeds according to readings.
- Interpret and apply blueprints.
- Apply advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Maintain CMi Quality and safety standards.
- Utilize hand and measurement tools to complete various manufacturing and quality assurance functions.
- Provide technical training to others in manufacturing
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Participate in technical troubleshooting and documentation as needed
- Provide technical training and guidance within the team
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Related certificate in Precision Machining preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of machining experience
- Minimum of 8 years programming CNC machines utilizing Master Cam
- Minimum of 8 years utilizing GD&T
- Ability to hold tight tolerances
- Strong communication skills
- Strong math skills
- Working knowledge of work rules and safety guidelines
- Proficiency with GD&T
- Proficiency reading blueprints
- Experience using Mastercam software is a plus
- Is not a United States citizen
- Is not lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S.
- Does not have politically protected status (embassy, refugee, or asylum)
