Lead Manufacturing Quality Inspector
Hourly 26-32/hr
Are you a hands‑on quality professional who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and enjoys leading a team? We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Quality Inspector to oversee daily inspection activities, support production quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a collaborative manufacturing setting.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring products meet company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements while helping foster a strong culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do- Lead and coordinate daily activities of quality inspection personnel
- Perform and verify incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of materials and finished products
- Review inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Identify, document, and escalate non‑conforming materials or processes
- Train and mentor quality inspectors on inspection methods, procedures, and measuring equipment
- Partner with production, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality concerns
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain calibration and proper use of inspection and measurement equipment
- 3–5+ years of manufacturing quality inspection experience
- Previous leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipment preferred
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar standards is a plus
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience supporting root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Knowledge of calibration audits and compliance requirements
- Experience with advanced inspection tools including Faro arm, optical comparator, visual systems, gauges, and precision measurement equipment
- Experience creating receiving and manufacturing inspections in 1
