Lead Manufacturing Quality Inspector

Hourly 26-32/hr

Are you a hands‑on quality professional who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and enjoys leading a team? We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Quality Inspector to oversee daily inspection activities, support production quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a collaborative manufacturing setting.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring products meet company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements while helping foster a strong culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of quality inspection personnel
  • Perform and verify incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of materials and finished products
  • Review inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Identify, document, and escalate non‑conforming materials or processes
  • Train and mentor quality inspectors on inspection methods, procedures, and measuring equipment
  • Partner with production, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality concerns
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain calibration and proper use of inspection and measurement equipment
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of manufacturing quality inspection experience
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar standards is a plus
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience supporting root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Bonus Experience
  • Knowledge of calibration audits and compliance requirements
  • Experience with advanced inspection tools including Faro arm, optical comparator, visual systems, gauges, and precision measurement equipment
  • Experience creating receiving and manufacturing inspections in 1

    Factory software
