We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.

Solid professional knowledge; able to work independently in routine areas.

Selects from alternatives; solves routine and emerging problems.

Owns outcomes in a defined area. Maintain coating manufacturing equipment with logs/schedules/spare parts/etc to eliminate downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate PM schedules with engineering and materials supervisor
  • Assist in other areas of facilities as required with facilities supervisor
  • Perform weekly preventive maintenance on vacuum deposition systems following established schedules and intervals
  • Replace coating components and other critical parts
  • Disassemble reactor chambers and ensure the external rework and refurbishment process is properly managed and controlled
  • Inspect and document equipment condition before and after maintenance
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, particularly when handling and installing coating precursors
  • Follow best practices in vacuum technology and cleanroom procedures
  • Assist in identifying, responding to, and resolving tool-related emergencies to minimize equipment downtime
  • Collaborate closely with process engineers, operations, and EHS teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of PM procedures and system reliability
Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have ability to use a variety of mechanical tools and use electronic test equipment.
  • Must be organized and keep accurate records.
  • Must have experience with handling hazardous materials and using proper safety protocols (ex: pyrophoric)
  • Must communicate and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Will be expected to interface effectively with supervision and work in a team based environment.
  • Must be comfortable using PCs and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • May be required to lift moderately heavy instruments (up to 50 lbs) on a weekly basis and must have a reasonable level of manual dexterity.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $26- $28 per hour. INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
