Process Technician/Mold Maintenance Technician

Location:

Longmont, CO 80501 Duration: 6+ Months

The Process Technician is responsible for optimizing all aspects of the plastic injection molding process. This includes start-ups, troubleshooting, documenting processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure production efficiency and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Process Technician in plastic injection molding
• Strong data analysis skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability
• Good manual dexterity
• Experience with Mold Qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ, PPAP)
• Knowledge of Scientific Molding principles

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend and contribute to shift change meetings with key updates and action plans
• Develop, document, and maintain molding tolerances
• Complete daily “Production Reports” accurately and on time
• Train and oversee Set-up Technicians to ensure adherence to process standards
• Collaborate with Quality, Tooling, and Account Management teams on process and part qualifications
• Analyze machine performance data and existing set-ups to identify and implement improvements
• Expand knowledge of materials and molding techniques on an ongoing basis
• Perform daily machine start-ups and process verifications
• Serve as a backup for Set-up Technicians as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
