Job Description & How to Apply Below

Rossmönster is a leading custom adventure van and truck camper manufacturer dedicated to crafting unique and high‑quality mobile living solutions. With a passion for exploration and a commitment to excellence, we design and build custom vehicles that empower people to get out and enjoy unforgettable adventures.

Rossmönster is seeking a Welder to transform raw aluminum and steel into the structural foundation of every custom camper we build. Operating in pre‑build manufacturing, you own the full fabrication scope — TIG and MIG welding, bending, fiberglass shell glue‑in, and frame assembly — before a build ever moves to the production floor. Your precision sets the stage for everything that follows.

What

You’ll Own Fabrication

You’ll play a key role in building high‑quality Baja frames and assemblies that meet Rossmönster’s standards for craftsmanship and durability.

Responsibilities include:
  • Cutting, bending, fitting, and preparing components for welding
  • MIG welding aluminum tube Baja frames
  • Following drawings, specifications, and work instructions with precision
  • Inspecting your work and identifying issues before they move downstream
  • Communicating material shortages or production challenges early
Success looks like:
  • Consistently producing welds and assemblies that pass quality inspections the first time
  • Completing work on schedule while maintaining quality standards
  • Delivering assemblies that are square, complete, and ready for the next stage of production
Fiberglass Shell Assembly & Glue‑In

You’ll help ensure every shell assembly is structurally sound, properly aligned, and ready for the build process.

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing components for glue‑in and installing frames into fiberglass shells
  • Verifying fitment, alignment, and shell condition before bonding
  • Following all preparation, adhesive, and assembly procedures
  • Identifying and communicating fitment or material concerns before assembly begins
Success looks like:
  • Shell assemblies that require little to no rework
  • Accurate fitment and alignment that support efficient downstream production
  • Consistent attention to detail throughout the assembly process
Teamwork & Communication

Rossmönster builds highly customized vehicles, which means communication and collaboration are critical.

Responsibilities include:
  • Keeping your Team Lead informed of progress, challenges, and material needs
  • Coordinating with teammates to ensure assemblies are completed and ready when needed
  • Asking questions when specifications or drawings are unclear
  • Understanding project timelines and proactively communicating status updates
Success looks like:
  • Issues being identified and addressed before they impact production
  • Reliable communication and follow‑through
  • Consistent delivery of quality work that keeps projects moving forward
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve
Traits We Value
  • Resourceful:
You enjoy solving problems, figuring things out, and finding productive ways to keep work moving forward.
  • Ownership Mentality:
You take pride in your work, hold yourself accountable, and treat every build as if it were your own.
  • Positive & Team‑Oriented:
You stay professional under pressure, focus on solutions, and contribute to a strong team environment.
  • Organized & Communicative:
You manage your priorities, stay aware of deadlines, and keep your Team Lead informed of progress and challenges.
  • Craftsmanship Focused:
You care about quality, pay attention to details, and take pride in building products that exceed expectations.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred
  • Experience with MIG welding aluminum required; TIG experience a plus
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications
  • Experience using fabrication equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a manufacturing environment
