Lathe Operator + Setup – Intermediate​/Advanced

Advanced Machining is hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Operator with setup experience to support production on our Tsugami, DMG Mori, and other CNC turning centers. This position is a good fit for someone who can work independently, perform setups, make adjustments, and troubleshoot machining issues in a precision manufacturing environment.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, including Tsugami, DMG Mori, and similar turning centers
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic program adjustments as needed
• Run production efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions
• Inspect parts and verify conformance to customer requirements
• Troubleshoot tooling, dimensional, and machining issues
• Maintain tight tolerances and make necessary adjustments during production
• Support continuous improvement, process optimization, and cycle time reduction
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• CNC lathe setup and operation experience required
• Experience with Tsugami or DMG Mori machines preferred
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes
• Ability to read prints and use precision measuring equipment
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and maintain consistent part quality
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Mastercam programming experience is a plus

• Pay: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

  M-Th 7:00am-4:30pm, F 7:00-11:00 am.
