Position: Engineering Technician 4 Lead_USD

Electronics Lab Manager

Location:

Longmont, CO 80501. This full‑time position (40+ hours per week) is a contract assignment with potential for permanent hire based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Payment: $40–$46 per hour, based on experience.

Benefits: 401(k) with company match after 90 days and one year of service; available to full‑time employees. 90‑day eligibility for full‑time benefits.

    Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily electronics lab operations, including equipment, inventory, calibration, organization, and safety.
  • Establish and maintain lab organization standards, procedures, and efficient workflows.
  • Track inventory of components, consumables, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain lab equipment, workstations, and calibration schedules.
  • Coordinate daily with engineering teams to support project timelines and priorities.
  • Perform expert-level BGA rework, BGA reballing, and fine‑pitch soldering.
  • Set up and configure test benches and equipment for engineering activities.
  • Perform basic functional hardware testing and document results.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of lab procedures, test setups, and completed work.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and highly organized laboratory environment.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience managing an electronics lab or similar technical laboratory environment.
  • Expert experience performing BGA rework, BGA replacement, and BGA reballing.
  • Experience setting up electronic test benches and performing basic hardware testing.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of lab operations.
  • Stable work history with progressive experience in similar technical roles.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Attendance mandatory for the first 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Linux systems.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Experience using rework stations, hot air systems, and IR equipment.
  • Experience with lab inventory management systems.
  • IPC certification such as IPC‑7711/7721 or similar.
  • Experience supporting engineering teams in a manufacturing or product development environment.
