We are currently seeking a Mechanical Technician to join a team developing the next-generation High Energy Laser (HEL) weapon systems for national defense. These systems are designed to be rugged, compact, and capable of thriving in the most challenging environments. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in assembling precision components that power cutting-edge laser technology.
This position is based in Longmont, CO within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do:
- Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools based on engineering prints, schematics, and BOMs
- Support soldering and assembly tasks for advanced laser systems
- Assist in designing and building test fixtures for HEL components
- Contribute to the development of systems that will define the future of directed energy weapons
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
Nice-To-Have:
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with precision assembly and high-reliability systems

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longmont, CO.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
