We are looking for a CNC Operator I for 2nd Shift who is dependable, ready to work and contribute to the success of the company by filling production quotas and other job duties as business needs change.

- Friday 3:15pm - 11:45pm

First of three levels of CNC machining center operator. Operates and adjusts semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided and setups are often made and maintained by others. Requires knowledge of operations include drilling, boring and milling, turning, etc., employing recognized tooling and procedures and where toleran ces are close, but not difficult to maintain.

Checks parts for conformance to specifications. Typically requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications.

$17/ hour ($.86/hour shift differential for second shift)

This job is a temporary position.

• Interprets complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done.
• Performs a variety of operations on CNC machining centers.
• Performs a variety of milling, drilling, boring, or related operations to close and interrelated toleran ces.
• Production quotas required.
• Install and change cutting tools in machine spindle or magazine.
• Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
• Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications.
• Measures workpiece for conformance to specifications.
• Notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
• Machines materials other than metal, such as composites, plastic, and rubber.
• Cleans machine, tooling, and parts.
• Performs machine maintenance.

• Duties and tasks are varied but standardized.
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
