Machinist III
Vitesse Systems is looking for a Machinist III to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! The Machinist III is responsible for programming and manufacturing our high precision antenna feeds and other parts.

The primary responsibility of the Machinist III is to program and manufacture our high precision antenna feeds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Programming CNC machines according to internal policies and technical documentation using Master Cam.
- Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine as required.
- Verifying dimensions and alignment of assembly.
- Programming and manufacturing antenna feeds according to readings.
- Interpreting and applying blueprints.
- Applying advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Utilizing hand and measurement tools to complete various manufacturing and quality assurance functions.
- Providing technical training to others in manufacturing.
- Participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Participating in technical troubleshooting and documentation as needed.
- Providing technical training and guidance within the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Related certificate in precision machining preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of machining experience.
- Minimum of 8 years programming CNC machines utilizing Master Cam.
- Minimum of 8 years utilizing GD&T.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Working knowledge of work rules and safety guidelines.
- Proficiency with GD&T.
- Proficiency reading blueprints.
- Experience using Mastercam software is a plus.
