Help Lead the Next Stage of Our GrowthThe client is a growing precision manufacturing company in Longmont, Colorado, specializing in complex, tight-tolerance machining for demanding industries including aerospace and defense.
We're looking for an experienced CNC Machine Shop Foreman to help lead our growing machining operation.
This isn't a position where you'll simply inherit an established process and supervise from an office. We're looking for a hands‑on machining leader who wants to work directly with ownership, help drive the production schedule, develop machinists, solve problems on the floor, and have a meaningful voice in how we continue building the shop.
If you've successfully led people in a CNC machine shop and still enjoy being close to the machining process, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact.
What You'll Do- Lead day-to-day execution of the production schedule across the machine shop.
- Set priorities and provide clear direction to machinists to keep jobs moving and customer commitments on track.
- Coach, develop, and provide technical guidance to machinists on the floor.
- Identify production bottlenecks and help resolve issues involving setups, tooling, work holding, machining processes, and workflow.
- Help determine tooling needs and support tooling selection and purchasing decisions.
- Work closely with ownership on capacity, staffing, scheduling, equipment, and continuous improvement.
- Jump into technical problems when needed and help the team find practical solutions.
- Improve shop-floor processes, communication, accountability, and production flow as the company grows.
- Help build a culture centered on quality, ownership, teamwork, and execution.
- Previous CNC machine shop leadership experience as a Foreman, Shop Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Lead Machinist, or similar role.
- Strong hands‑on CNC machining and setup experience with a solid understanding of how parts move from raw material through completed product.
- Experience driving production priorities and directing machinists in a job-shop, high-mix, or precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, work holding, machining processes, and troubleshooting
. - A hands‑on leadership style — you should be comfortable leading people while remaining technically engaged with what's happening on the shop floor.
- $100,000–$120,000 annual salary
- Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
- 401(k) with 3% company match
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 50% employer contribution
