Our oral surgery practice is seeking a highly organized, clinically confident, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our specialty surgical team. Position OverviewAs the RN in our oral surgery practice, you will play an integral role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, from pre‑operative preparation and clinical review to sedation support, recovery monitoring, discharge, and follow‑up care. You will work closely with surgeons, surgical assistants, anesthesia/sedation protocols, administrative staff, and outside providers to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care. WhatYou’ll Do Pre‑Operative Patient Care & Clinical Review
- Conduct pre‑operative patient communication and preparation
- Review medical histories, medications, allergies, and clinical readiness for treatment
- Obtain and document vital signs and patient updates
- Assist with history and physical review, chart preparation, and clinical documentation
- Help ensure patients are fully prepared for surgery from a clinical and safety standpoint
- Start and manage IV access as appropriate
- Support IV sedation and anesthesia‑related workflows in accordance with office protocols
- Assist with patient monitoring before, during, and after procedures
- Provide clinical support to surgeons during surgical days
- Maintain emergency preparedness protocols, including crash cart oversight and readiness
- Monitor patients during the immediate post‑operative recovery phase
- Assess patient status and communicate concerns promptly to the surgeon
- Support safe discharge processes and post‑operative recovery instructions
- Provide clear patient and family education regarding post‑op expectations, medications, and follow‑up care
- Triage patient questions and post‑operative concerns with professionalism and compassion
- Coordinate with pharmacies regarding prescriptions and medication‑related needs
- Communicate with referring offices, outside providers, and hospital/OR teams as needed
- Support continuity of care from consultation through recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support office compliance, infection control, and patient safety protocols
- Assist with medication, emergency, and clinical supply oversight as appropriate
- Help maintain a calm, organized, and clinically excellent patient care environment

- Emergency or critical care with strong clinical fundamentals
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced outpatient setting
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
