Location

Patient Access Specialist positions available in our ambulatory care settings, in primary care and specialty care clinics in Longmont, CO.

Work Schedule

Full‑time positions, several opportunities available.

Pay

$19.67 - $25.57 per hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience.

This position is onsite and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

Role Overview

The Patient Access Specialist performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties for registering patients for services.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with patient and/or patient’s caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions.
  • Communicate with referring provider’s office, clinical department(s), and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and determine schedule.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre‑certification/authorization as necessary.
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co‑pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow‑up. Ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.
