We are seeking a dedicated School Nurse for an exciting opportunity in Arapahoe County, CO providing essential health services to one student in Preschool for the school year.

Location:
In-person only (no hybrid/virtual options)
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00-4:30 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break during the day
- Provide direct care, including assessing and treating illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions, while administering medications and first aid.
- Maintain accurate health records, ensure immunization compliance, and uphold state and federal health regulations.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health, hygiene, and disease prevention while supporting students with special medical needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, healthcare providers, and public health agencies to promote student well-being and emergency preparedness.
Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing coverage for an assigned student during the school day and related transitions.
- Track the student’s health status throughout the day and act promptly when changes are observed.
- Give medications as ordered and operate/support required medical equipment during the school day.
- Respond to urgent medical situations and follow appropriate emergency procedures.
- Help ensure the student can safely take part in learning activities while receiving needed clinical support.
- Qualifications:
- Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Colorado.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited professional nursing program.
- Experience working with school-aged children.
