Overview
Advanced Machining is hiring a Quality Technician to support inspection and documentation across our precision machining operations. This position is a good fit for someone who is detail-oriented, understands the basics of GD&T, and wants to continue developing their skills in a manufacturing and quality environment.
Responsibilities- Perform in-process inspections on the shop floor for lathe, mill, and Wire EDM operations
- Measure parts using calibrated equipment such as; calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, Bridge and Vision CMMs and other precision inspection tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, including basic GD&T requirements
- Complete inspection documentation accurately and consistently
- Support machinists with real-time feedback to help maintain quality standards
- Assist with first-article checks, lot verification, and general quality assurance tasks
- Follow internal procedures, customer requirements, and documentation standards
- Maintain an organized and professional inspection work area
- Basic understanding of GD&T, including true position, datums, tolerances, and related callouts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation
- Willingness to learn new inspection tools, processes, and software
- Good communication skills and ability to work with machinists and production team members
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a shop-floor environment
- Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality management systems
- Experience with Bridge and Vision CMMs
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

Schedule:
M-Th 7:00am-4:30pm, F 7:00-11:00 am.
