- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down‑stock merchandise by locating empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross‑functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodations.
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).
This role does not require regular travel; however, the associate may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental factors vary by location. Associates may work in both inside and outside weather conditions, including exposure to extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. They may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises, moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifts are limited to 75 lbs for single lifts and team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 lbs or when needed, with powered equipment used as required with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
PayRange
$16.50 - $17.20 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, education, training, and/or experience.
