Overview
Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr
The merchandising & stocking associate role at Sam’s Club supports members by keeping the store neat, organized, and fully stocked. Responsibilities can include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, and assisting members while stocking shelves. The role is fast-paced and physically demanding, with varying duties by shift.
What you'll do- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, guiding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
- Maintain facility safety through safety sweeps and adherence to forklift procedures; handle and dispose of hazardous materials per policy; report unsafe conditions.
- Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation by zoning areas, stocking and organizing merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, pricing items, and identifying shrink or damages.
- Ensure quality and compliance by rotating stock, monitoring codes and dates, following recalls and sanitation standards, and displaying promotional merchandise prominently.
- Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners to complete tasks, manage priorities, and address opportunities for improvement.
- Support club pick-up orders by picking and staging items according to policy and procedures.
The role involves working on the shop floor and in backroom operations to ensure products are available and accessible to members, including stock replenishment, unloading trucks in certain seasons, and assisting with club operations. The position may require lifting and moving boxes and other heavy objects.
