This position is a Center Store – Retail Specialist at Empire Marketing Strategies in Longmont/Loveland, Colorado. The role involves supporting various product categories across Kroger stores, ensuring optimal in‑store merchandising, displays, and product stock across assigned territories.

Empire supports meat/seafood, deli/bakery, produce, and grocery suppliers in Kroger stores. The Retail Specialist sells and ensures best‑in‑class in‑store merchandising, including building displays, packing out product, replenishing permanent secondary displays, and maintaining salability of all authorized items.

• Shelf maintenance – rotate product as required by manufacturer for perishable merchandise and for merchandise requiring freshness checks
• Regular checks of store shelf tags for distribution and reordering assistance
• Ensure all retail objectives and shelf standards are met and maintained in assigned territory
• Keep sections set to customer’s schematic or stocking plan as required or beneficial to manufacturer or clients
• Maintain 100% distribution of all manufacturer‑client products approved by Kroger or Planogram team
• Sell and service all principal accounts represented by Empire to ensure all authorized items are on shelf, priced, and tagged properly
• Product analysis & reporting – maintain and update all territorial records, review sales reports, maintain competitive awareness, report on time using supplied forms, utilize tools such as PowerBI or Go Spot Check
• Promotional display maintenance – set up displays of manufacturer or client brands within customer rules and manufacturer/client display objectives, coordinate activities with Operations, execute point‑of‑sale material and instant redeemable coupons as required, approved by retailer
• Customer support and training – establish rapport with all store personnel, perform training demonstrations for customer employees on proper preparation and/or display of product
• Other administrative duties – timely communication (email, telephone), maintain territory files and company‑owned office equipment, attend scheduled company meetings, exercise expense control within guidelines, and other duties as required

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report required
• 1–2 years of CPG/grocery/retail industry related experience preferred

• Operate a motor vehicle and travel regularly between work sites
• Additional travel as needed, may include overnight stays
• Prolonged standing – 80% of the time
• Change positions between sitting, squatting, standing, and kneeling regularly
• Regular lifting/moving up to 25–35 pounds; occasional lifting up to 40–60 pounds
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, view info on computer screens, view written info from 20–40 feet
