Account Manager, Cement Sales

Under the direction of the Senior Sales Manager or VP Cement Sales, the Cement Sales Manager will interface with customers and potential customers while handling issues relating to the sales and potential sales of CEMEX products.

• Learn the various customer segments and understand the construction sector and its economic metrics.
• Grow the existing customer base and develop opportunities with current accounts to capture new business.
• Build rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of customer organizations and management.
• Provide technical support to customers with inquiries regarding their purchases.
• Communicate price information to customers and develop overall market price strategy in collaboration with the Vice President of Cement Sales.
• Work with accounting and logistics as needed to resolve customers’ issues.
• Perform all other necessary duties as assigned.

• 5-10 years of experience in the building materials industry (preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).

• Strong time and organizational management skills.
• Strong basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Requires long periods of standing and/or walking; exposure to dust, noise, extreme temperatures; long periods of driving.

• Walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and fingering to a significant degree.
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, or negligible force constantly for object movement. If arm or leg control requires greater exertion than sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
• Regularly required to talk and hear to communicate to employees/visitors.
