Summary of Position

Works under minimal supervision to independently diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential/light commercial HVAC equipment. Performs preventive maintenance and provides outstanding customer service. Communicates repair and replacement options and recommendations for Service Experts products and services, recognizes appropriate replacement opportunities, and helps reduce callbacks through accurate diagnostics and quality workmanship. Serves as a technical resource and mentor to junior technicians when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under minimal supervision to perform residential and light commercial HVAC service and maintenance calls.
  • Independently analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Diagnose and service heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, electrical, and duct systems, as well as related accessories.
  • Inspect equipment to identify potential problems, prevent unexpected breakdowns, improve repair quality, and reduce callbacks.
  • Complete preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning, system start-up and balancing, and installation of indoor air quality systems as needed.
  • Trusted expert for customers
  • Clearly explain findings and recommend appropriate repair and replacement options; recognize qualified replacement opportunities and coordinate the lead with the appropriate sales resource.
  • Use the company’s hand‑held device and field applications to record required customer information, complete forms and documentation accurately, obtain signatures, and collect payment when applicable.
  • Coordinate with dispatch while on duty to provide status, activity, and availability
  • Readiness for service calls, organized, and with a stocked van
  • Deliver and remove parts and equipment needed to complete service work; maintain an organized, properly stocked service van; return defective warranty parts; and replenish vehicle inventory.
  • Follow all safety procedures and processes, use and maintain required personal protective equipment, report hazards and incidents promptly, and protect the safety and well‑being of customers and coworkers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • You’re an HVAC pro! You have been helping people with their HVAC problems for years.
  • 3–5 years of HVAC Technician experience with technical training certifications.
  • Must possess all valid licensing or certifications required by federal, state, provincial, or local laws or regulations for the Northern Colorado Front Range; EPA and safety certifications are required.
  • Effective customer communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • You’re skilled at servicing heating, air conditioning, ventilation equipment, and related accessories.
  • Proficient at starting up and balancing HVAC systems and installing indoor air quality systems.
  • Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical systems, refrigeration systems, and duct systems.
  • You’re eager to continuously learn, share your knowledge with others, and help junior technicians grow.
  • Responsible for coordinating with dispatch and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Available to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed.
Work Hours

Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., plus on‑call shifts (rotating evenings and weekends). End time may extend past 4:00 p.m. due to the nature…
