Job
Ensure compatibility of SSD products across various systems, operating systems, hardware, and feature sets. Oversee test execution, data analytics, debugging and triaging. Design tests for firmware-implemented SSD features and automate test plans using Python frameworks and libraries.
Explore and recommend improvements to SSD validation, including test coverage plans, validation strategies, and processes. Collaborate with process owners, firmware developers, and validation engineers to identify valuable improvements to products and processes. Report and monitor test results for various product families to qualify for release.
Serve as the subject matter expert for validation on customer test requirements, associated industry certifications and results. Review and challenge current test plans, coverage, and testing activities to drive both increased effectiveness and efficiencies across the product portfolio.
Recommend and implement new validation approaches that drive better coverage, more accurate testing, and expanded testing services.
Utilize technical, project, and delegation experience to actively lead product test cycles. Develop validation strategy and test cases to verify functional and nonfunctional requirements in compliance with system requirements.
Work with product design to develop test cases coherently with firmware and hardware architecture. Identify pass/fail criteria for test cases in terms of number of cycles, statistical and temperature data. Enable shift-left efforts to move detection of failures from customer tests to internally developed and maintained test frameworks.

Qualifications- Enterprise SATA & PCIe SSDs, NAND, memory storage hierarchy, and enterprise storage.
- Firmware code analysis, complex firmware, software (Windows & Linux), and hardware issues in system with ASIC/FPGA design and FPGA design tools.
- Embedded C and object‑oriented programming language proficiency.
- Data analytics experience.
- Linux and Windows operating system proficiency.
- SSD triaging and JIRA experience.
The employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of one year of experience in this job or an engineering‑related occupation.
