As an MRO Performance Optimization Manager, you play a key role in optimizing the cost and performance of engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities. You manage cost and scope execution across assigned engine events, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, customer expectations, and commercial objectives.

Identify opportunities to enhance systems, data utilization, and business processes to strengthen cost visibility and operational efficiency. Contribute to the development of scalable standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Lead cost and work scope execution for assigned engine MRO events, making informed operational and commercial decisions to balance technical requirements, customer commitments, turnaround targets, and financial performance.
- Serve as the primary integrator between shop operations, engineering, supply chain, finance, and Customer Managers, driving alignment, accountability, and timely resolution of complex operational issues.
- Proactively identify operational, technical, and financial risks across the MRO lifecycle, driving escalations, mitigation strategies, and recovery plans to maximize business and customer outcomes.
- Drive cost and performance optimization by critically assessing repair strategies, challenging estimates and invoices, validating data integrity, and ensuring alignment with contractual and operational objectives.
- Influence strategic and operational decision‑making through data‑driven insights, trend analysis, and performance reporting.
- Establish solid governance and communication practices with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and executive‑level visibility.
- Champion a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, standardizing best practices, and influencing organizational change initiatives.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and decision‑making authority within assigned portfolios.
- Technical Diploma in Aerospace; AME license; or University degree in Engineering or Sciences.
- Minimum 7 years of experience with engine maintenance and repair.
- Experience working within an MRO operations environment.
- Strong communication skills and skilled at building trusting relationships.
- Understanding of technical documentation, engine performance and maintenance documentation, and overall engine repair and overhaul process.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to interpret cost or performance data to guide technical and commercial decisions.
- Critical thinking and curious mindset to identify risks and opportunities.
- Collaborates well working with various stakeholders and demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams in a complex, fast‑paced environment without formal authority.
- Familiarity with MRO financial principles (cost drivers, margin analysis, billing processes) is an asset.
