Position: Recruitment Advisor – 1‑Year Fixed‑Term Contract

Arcelor Mittal Mines and Infrastructure Canada is currently looking for a recruitment consultant who is passionate about his job and wants to discover a world of giants. This recruiter will be responsible for implementing innovative strategies to select a set of talented design and engineering (D&E) professionals in various subjects that meets organizational needs.

The incumbent will be expected to stay constantly informed of trends and developments in the design and engineering and consulting engineering job market, , for attracting new talent amid a growing workforce in a highly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements talent attraction strategies to attract qualified and diverse candidates;
  • Ensures the complete management of the recruitment process, from the identification of needs to hiring, ensuring compliance with established procedures;
  • Collaborates with Arcelor Mittal design Enginering centre (AMDEC) and the different departments of the company to understand their needs and advise them accordingly;
  • Scheduling interviews and following up with candidates and relevant internal parties;
  • Collaborte with AMDEC to design the appropriate compensation models as per the needs of the business
  • Contributes to various projects aimed at improving or creating recruitment tools, processes and strategies;
  • Represents the company at promotional sessions at recruitment events such as job fairs, job fairs and school events.

Requirements

  • University degree in human resources or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in recruitment, ideally in the mining, heavy industrial or engineering sector and consulting engineering
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written;
  • Proven expertise in recruitment best practices;
  • Communication, presentation and networking skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team;
  • Demonstrate dynamism, rigour and discretion in the performance of his/her duties;
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines;
  • Working knowledge of Oracle (an asset) or other applicant tracking system (ATS);
  • Availability for occasional travel to the various sites (Port-Cartier and Fermont) and for representation activities.

Contract Duration:
Fixed-term employment contract of one year.
