Reporting to the "Senior Director Product Development", the incumbent is responsible for managing the team and the product families within the segment. He/she represents the interests of LMPG' customers internally, develops the segment's portfolio, supports project teams in product development and monitors products throughout their lifecycle. The incumbent works closely with colleagues to ensure that departmental objectives are met in line with quality processes and standards.
YourResponsibilities
- Portfolio management and development
- Be responsible for the management and development of the segment's product portfolio.
- Incorporate and share feedback from all stakeholders to feed decisions (sales, marketing, operations, etc.).
- Optimise portfolio to support strategic plan.
- Balance segment portfolio to ensure new product development, continuous improvement of existing products and cost reduction.
- Work with project managers to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Work with the various factories identified to assemble the segment's products.
- Be responsible for achieving the segment's performance indicators: on-time product launches, SPL material margin, SPL processing time, SPL quotation response time.
- Competitive analysis
- Understand market requirements to ensure portfolio alignment.
- Maintain close contact with external and internal stakeholders: sales, agencies, marketing, customers, contractors, etc.
- Participate in various industry events, internal and external promotional activities, and customer meetings.
- Monitoring and reporting on financial performance
- Understand financial results.
- Understand business and segment drivers, collaborate with other teams to suggest sales supporting activities.
- Team management
- Manage a development team composed of various functions: industrial design, technicians, project manager, etc.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Mobilise the team and foster a good working atmosphere: maintain a climate of trust and open communication based on respect, listening and transparency.
- Know and promote health and safety practises.
- Perform all other related tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial design or any other relevant program/experience.
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, lighting, controls, and team management.
- Demonstrate positive, collaborative leadership that emphasises teamwork, member involvement in problem‑solving, decision‑making and transparency,
- Strong oral and written communication skills,
- Adapt easily and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, where innovation, continuous improvement and speed of execution are a must,
- Demonstrate the ability to analyse, synthesise and popularise information in order to share it with people of different backgrounds,
- Demonstrate great curiosity and adaptability,
