Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Plumber, Building Maintenance, General Labor
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Plumber is responsible for working with the Maintenance team to repair and for the general maintenance of the housing stock that is managed by the Moose Cree First Nation Housing Department and other agencies, and privately owned homes as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:- Red Seal certification or willingness to obtain.
- General knowledge on practical application of Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical practices.
- Knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada
- Part 9 Residential
- Part 3 High Occupancy and Commercial
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Work well under pressure and the ability to meet deadlines.
- To maintain confidentiality pertaining to administration and any field work.
- Must provide a recent satisfactory CPIC or proof of application.
- Ability to understand and speak the Cree language is considered an asset.
- Valid Class “G” Driver’s License or willing to obtain within a reasonable period.
- Provide copies of certificates, diplomas/degrees along with submitted resume.
Salary General: $47,632-$60,361 |
Salary Red Seal: $78,374-$99,278
Duration: Permanent with 3 months probation
