WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH- Driving a truck responsibly and in compliance with traffic safety regulations, Law 430, and occupational health and safety rules.
- Ensuring that delivery slips are completed according to your supervisors' instructions.
- Inspecting the volumetric concrete mixer and performing a safety check before departure.
- Performing maintenance (lubrication, cleaning the screw, and washing the concrete mixer) upon return from a delivery.
- Reporting any vehicle or equipment malfunctions or any anomalies on a construction site to your supervisor.
- Operating a loader to load aggregates into trucks and transport stone and sand to their respective locations.
- Measuring concrete for the customer according to the mix calibration book and making adjustments to the mix on site as directed by the site technician.
- Checking the slump of the concrete according to instructions and notifying the dispatcher/measurer when it is not compliant.
- Driving your vehicle with caution, vigilance, and attention at all times.
- Demonstrating a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promoting a culture of safety and exhibiting these behaviours.
- Possession of a D.E.S. or D.E.P. in heavy machinery operation would be an asset.
- Valid Class 3 manual and FM license and Essential – Clean driving record.
- Good knowledge of Montreal and its suburbs.
- Good knowledge of French.
- Ability to work in a team and recognized interpersonal skills.
- Work with respect for the customer.
- Knowledge of concrete is an asset.
- No compromises when it comes to safety.
- Availability outside normal working hours for emergencies.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
