Product Manager - Surface Mining Products Job Overview
This position is responsible for driving the strategic growth and market position for aftermarket mining products across the United States and Canada. This role leads the development and execution of product strategies, leveraging market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, optimize product offerings, and expand market share.
Partnering closely with regional sales teams, engineering, marketing, and key customers, the Product Manager guides the full product lifecycle—from concept and business case development through commercialization and ongoing performance optimization. The role ensures alignment between customer requirements, product capabilities, and business objectives while supporting pricing strategy, product configuration, and application fit.
This position also serves as a key customer‑facing leader, building strong relationships with mining operators, dealers, and internal stakeholders to understand evolving industry needs, support technical discussions, and deliver value‑driven solutions. Additionally, the role contributes to new product development initiatives, supports go‑to‑market activities, and represents the organization at industry events and customer engagements.
Key Job Responsibilities- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field is required.
- 5‑10 years of experience in product management, product development, or product marketing is required.
- Direct industry experience with Surface Mining Products is desired.
- Must have excellent communication and public speaking skills with an ability to demonstrate confidence in material knowledge.
- Technical aptitude and experience with market analysis, strategic planning, and equipment sales is desired.
- Minimum 50% travel.
