Dizario Search is partnered with a leading client in the plastics manufacturing industry that is looking for a Category Manager to join their growing team.
This is a high-impact role responsible for owning the polymer/resin category across multiple plants- driving strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, product strategy, cost optimization, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead strategic procurement and sourcing of polymers/resins.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and supply continuity.
- Analyze resin markets, pricing, costs, and category profitability.
- Partner with Sales, R&D, and Operations on new product development and commercialization.
- Bachelor degree and 5+ years of experience in polymers, resins, plastics, or flexible packaging.
- Strong experience with resin purchasing and supplier negotiations.
- Understanding of polyethylene/resin markets, pricing, and cost analysis.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence business decisions.
