Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced cardiac and vascular services to the East Texas community. The facility maintains Level 3 trauma and pediatric capabilities with dedicated emergency department and catheterization lab services.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Vascular, Thoracic Surgery - Cardio Thoracic Surgery
Job Details:
• Assignment dates:
March 20, 7am - March 28, 7am
• Provide cardiovascular and thoracic surgery coverage for emergency department and catheterization lab call
• Must be able to perform vascular surgeries including aneurysm repairs (thoracic and abdominal)
• Perform arterial bypass procedures and peripheral vascular access devices
• Handle AV shunt procedures and various vascular access requirements
• Conduct general cardiovascular and thoracic surgery procedures (open and endoscopic)
• Perform coronary artery bypass surgery (on pump and off pump)
• Manage congenital defects including ASD, VSD, and PFO repairs
• Conduct valvular repair and replacement procedures
• Perform cardiac and aorto-thoracic aneurysm repairs
• Handle lung resection procedures including VATs
• Manage chest wall and pleural procedures
• Perform esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
• Place permanent pacemakers and AICD devices
• Handle left ventricular assist devices and TAVR procedures
• Manage ventilation and perform bronchoscopy procedures
• Insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABP
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Must be board certified with Texas medical license
• 14-day credentialing timeframe required
• Level 3 trauma facility experience preferred
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
