Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO) (Locum Tenens)

Location: Texas

Schedule: Day and night shifts; shift times vary

Position Overview

Emergency medicine coverage in a community emergency department with a collaborative physician and APP coverage model. Providers should be comfortable with acute care, a variety of shift times, and working within defined onboarding and EMR requirements.

Clinical Scope

Emergency department evaluation and management

Collaboration with APP coverage and specialty services

Emergency procedures consistent with site capability

Required Qualifications

MD or DO

Active, unrestricted Texas medical license

Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine residency trained (per site requirements)

Board status must meet site requirements

DEA registered to Texas address if required for the role

ATLS and ACLS may be required depending on board status

Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify

Facility and Systems

EMR:
Epic

Credentialing and Onboarding

On-site orientation required

EMR proficiency validation may be required
