Position Description:
The primary role of adjunct faculty is teaching online courses, focusing on instruction, assessment of student learning outcomes, and program evaluation. Most courses are offered in an accelerated format with synchronous and asynchronous components. Our MA Clinical Mental Health program operates year-round.
Qualifications:
LeTourneau University seeks an enthusiastic individual with a committed Christian faith, dedicated to a Christian higher education that integrates faith with learning.
Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in counselor education and supervision (preferably CACREP-accredited) or a counseling-related field; active professional counselor credentials (LPC or LMFT) with at least two years of clinical experience; experience teaching online graduate counseling courses; proficiency with technology; and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Key Job Duties:
- Complete grading according to rubrics and program guidelines.
- Prompt communication with students and faculty.
- Commitment to the integration of faith and learning.
- Utilize Canvas and other technological tools to enhance student learning.
- Attend virtual adjunct meetings.
- Report at-risk learners to appropriate faculty or staff.
- Participate in courses by providing expertise, facilitating discussions, and offering timely feedback.
