This is a full-time, 12-month position, primarily weekdays, 8:00am-5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. POSITION
DESCRIPTION:
LeTourneau University seeks a forward-thinking, student-centered leader to serve as Director of Student Achievement. This collaborative leader will guide the Achievement Center as a hub for academic support and accessibility services. In alignment with LeTourneau University's 2035 vision to offer an unparalleled student experience, the Director of Student Achievement will champion an ethos of hospitality and care that cultivates student belonging, persistence, and success.
Responsibilities:
Vision and Leadership
* Foster a mission-aligned and future‑ready approach to learning support that anticipates and meets student needs.
* Lead the direction of student academic support services (e.g., tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, Math Lab, and learning skills support).
Operational Management
* Recruit, develop, supervise, and support Achievement Center staff.
* Manage budgets and resource allocation to maximize student success outcomes.
Cross-Campus Collaboration and Support
* Work closely with academic departments, Student Life, Athletics, and other campus stakeholders to provide holistic support.
* Serve as a trusted consultant to faculty and staff on learning support strategies, accessibility, and student success interventions.
Accessibility Best Practices
* Serve as the primary institutional leader for disability support services, ensuring students experience access with dignity, clarity, and care.
* Guide the university's commitment to accessibility, provide opportunities for faculty and staff to grow in their understanding of best practices, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Data-Informed Analysis and Intervention
* Use data-driven insights to track student progress, identify academic difficulties, and implement intervention strategies.
* Lead initiatives to improve student retention, persistence, and graduation rates.
Student-Centered Engagement
* Ensure that the Achievement Center meets the needs of both scheduled and drop-in students through responsive, high-quality support.
* Foster an environment where students feel known, supported, and encouraged to take ownership of their learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to service at a dynamic, interdenominational, evangelical Christian university where the integration of faith and academic excellence is paramount
* Master's degree in education, higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field
* Experience leading or coordinating academic support, learning assistance, or student success initiatives
* Knowledge of accessibility laws and best practices
* Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively and confidentially with students, faculty, and staff across the institution
SALARY:
